Occasional Wine Note: This is one of our favorite wines in the world at any price. Tempranillo can really go with just about anything and this offering will please any crowd for any occasion. Indeed, we hosted a blind tasting of 13 wines in roughly the $50 - $150 price range and this one came out as the definitive number 1.
Tempranillo was the 3rd most planted grape in the world. It is most famous coming from the Rioja region of Spain, where this offering comes from. Even with its high tannin, It is often an easy drinking wine, depending on the winemaker. This 2015 Culmen is a great representation with lots of dark fruit and hints of tobacco and leather and a great finish. Enjoy and let us know when you want us to send you more!

Full-bodied and dense with flavor, this big red is a gentle powerhouse, remaining plush and approachable, with currant, quince, tangerine, cola and vanilla flavors, supported by well-integrated tannins and bright, citrusy acidity. Harmonious and complete, this delivers a successful blend of traditional and modern styles. Drink now through 2035.

Made only in exceptional years, this bottling is inky garnet in color with aromas of raspberry, black currant and a touch of mint. It is rich on the palate with smooth tannins and flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, eucalyptus, orange zest and jasmine that coalesce in a satisfying finish.
